Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for gym owners, facility managers, and YMCA directors.

Does my gym equipment manufacturer cover torn pads under warranty?

Almost never. Major fitness equipment manufacturers classify torn seams and worn upholstery as normal wear and tear — not a warranty issue. Reupholstering with Mobile Headliner costs a fraction of buying a new piece of equipment. Read the full breakdown: /learn/gym-equipment-warranty-seam-tears

How long does the job take?

After a complimentary on-site consultation, we order the heavy-duty commercial upholstery you select. Once it's in, installation is one day on your floor — you don't ship equipment anywhere, and you don't lose your floor for weeks.

What areas do you serve?

Harford County, Baltimore County, and Cecil County in Maryland; York County in Pennsylvania; and Fairfax County and the City of Alexandria in Northern Virginia. If you're in the Mid-Atlantic and not sure, call — we travel.

What kinds of facilities do you work with?

Commercial gyms and health clubs (LA Fitness, Gold's Gym, Planet Fitness, Merritt Athletic Clubs, Coppermine, The Coliseum, SNAP Fitness, Chiseled Life, EXILE), YMCAs across Maryland and Delaware, hotel and corporate fitness centers, and independent gyms.

Why does torn upholstery hurt my business?

Torn pads and ripped seams send a clear signal to members: this gym is neglected. It's one of the top reasons members cite when they cancel a membership. Keeping your floor looking new directly protects retention.

Do you handle medical or PT equipment too?

Yes — exam tables and physical therapy tables. Same on-site approach, same heavy-duty commercial-grade upholstery.
